First I want to start off this blog by saying how truly grateful I am to everyone for all of your love, support and prayers. This road has not been an easy one, but we have definitely felt God's grace and love throughout the past 6 months. In James, the bible says by testing our faith, it will develop perseverance so that we will be complete. With that said, I can't wait to see how God is going to use this big ANNOYING speed bump in the road of life to further His kingdom and our destiny.
On a different note, I will tell you about our evening before surgery. Tonight we had a wonderful time with our boys. We watched them play at the mall, watched the Bee Movie and put them to bed at my parents house. Matt took an Ambien at 0700 pm, ate pizza and a McDonald's ice cream sundae. We got home and Matt showered with his antiseptic soap and went to bed.
Tomorrow we have to be at the hospital at the butt crack of dawn (aka 0515am). Before we go, Matt has to shower again with the antiseptic soap. His brother Scott is going to go with us. Isn't that kind! I thought so too! He is scheduled for 0730 and it will last for about 1.5 hrs and then he will be in recovery for 2 hrs. After that he will go to ICU for about 2 days then he will go to progressive care. Hopefully he will be discharged between Monday or Tuesday.
Ok, enough for now. I will write again tomorrow with new information. Keep checking in for new details. Thanks again for your support! Stacy
