Still waiting...

While we were waiting for Matt to go back to surgery, the nurses in the pre-op holding area allowed myself, my dad Pat , and Matt's brother Scott to go and see Matt to say our "final goodbye" before he went in for surgery. Matt had already had his "happy juice" so he was feeling good. The official time they rolled him back was 0804am. Just a little late! The education nurse came out to give us an update and stated that he went under the anesthesia well and they are currently performing his surgery. Around 0830am, Lt. Anthony Willis came to hang out for the party in the waiting room. He has updated us on all of the love and support everyone at the fire department has given us. He brought a 50 ft roll of paper signed by a ton of people from the department wishing him a quick recovery. I feel so overwhelmed by every one's kindness and generosity. Words can't express how thankful I am to have all of you in our life. We feel very blessed and loved. Thanks again for your continued prayers and support.
